Since this just came up:

[06/11/2015 - 05:08:29] <Crystal> Hey can you remove me from #dontjoinitsatrap
[06/11/2015 - 05:09:36] <Gemini> Ofcourse I can, but I won't.
[06/11/2015 - 05:09:42] <Gemini> I recommend reading the topic.
[06/11/2015 - 05:10:11] <Crystal> I'll just ask someone else.
[06/11/2015 - 05:10:18] <Crystal> I'm in a bouncer, it throws me back in
[06/11/2015 - 05:10:21] <Crystal> On*
[06/11/2015 - 05:10:33] <Gemini> you'll get the same answer from everyone else.
[06/11/2015 - 05:11:00] <Crystal> I saw a thread of yours "we wont force people to stay in here against their will"
[06/11/2015 - 05:11:06] <Crystal> This is against my will. Remove me

Let me be really clear: I most certainly will force people to stay, until they can use the built in methods of escape.

There's two: Sparky's .spin command and the random window of time where the autorejoin is disabled... and you should count yourself lucky, because I seriously considered getting rid of .spin but ended up changing my mind.

If you join a channel called #DontJoinItsATrap you deserve to stay until you get out on your own.

Don't bitch and moan about getting out, don't /part spam, don't annoy people in the channel because you're not going to get out that way.... or if you do, it will be temporary, because while some ops in the channel will let you out early, if I notice it I'll manually drag you back in.

If you can't handle being in an irc channel for up to 90 minutes, then you should just quit irc.
