Not sure if this is considered bumping but I rarely see these topics on the forums I whore. Anyway...
About 3 years ago I joined LCIRC for those insufferable fags/trolls, and my name was Pain Bringer. When I first joined on IRC, I didn't know you couldn't have spaces in your name. So I just kept it as Pain and no one really cared where it came from. I've had more then a few nicknames over the 4 years I've been on the interwebs, but I like Pain the best.
It'll be 4 years of internet in August.
An angel appeared to my mother and said, "He is the Son of God, the Savior of the network, the Wonderful Operator, the Mighty Admin, the Eternal Founder, the Prince of //cs set $chan Peace on, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Invite only, the only hope for users to ever be set free from Awyeah and the bondage of Annie. You shall name him twilightNoir."
Because I'm better than you.
I needed a name. I was young and I thought the name MrOwn1 would intimidate people. I never stopped using it because too many people knew me as MrOwn1.
My parents use to call me Johny since childhood. So it was like nick name for me.
I used to name sk8 on the first IRC server I discovered, on which I met person called Rusty, which I thought was cool.
Upon finding Rizon, I found that Rusty was taken, so I changed to Dusty, and it's stuck.
I needed a new nickname because I figured out what my old nick "P.I.M.P." means (god, I was 12 and just liked that song by 50 Cent [I hate that song now.]). That was the first time I compiled an application by myself (look it up at Wikipedia if you want to know what compiling means, I'm sick of explaining it to everyone). Et voila - my nick was The Compiler (respectively TheCompiler or The_Compiler or The-Compiler)
